UL Women’s Basketball Hosts Lamar

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team returns to the hardwood on Wednesday evening, when coach Garry Brodhead's squad plays host to the Lamar Cardinals, in non-conference action.
Louisiana, who is 2-1 on the year, is led by sophomore guard Keke Veal, who is averaging 15.7 points-per-game. Jasmin Mills, Ashley Benjamin, and Sylvana Okde are all also averaging double-digit points-per-game, averaging, 12.7, 11.0, and 10.0, respectively.
The Cajuns are 2-0 at home this season.
Lamar, who is 2-2 on the young season, is paced by junior forward Dominique Edwards, who is averaging 16.8 points, along with 9.3 rebounds a contest.
Wednesday's game marks the 62nd meeting between the two programs, with Lamar holding a 41-20 edge. The teams last met on Nov. 27, 2009, at the World Vision Classic at Baylor, with the Lady Cardinals claiming a 66-58 win.
Tip-off time at the Cajundome is scheduled for 7 o'clock.
