University Of Louisiana At Lafayette Will Add Needed Parking Space
More student parking is in the future for University of Louisiana at Lafayette students.
The university's request to demolish two houses it owns to make room for more student parking has been approved by the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors.
William Crist, ULL facility management director, says the system board approval is the first in an approval process that could take up to six months.
Parking is a premium on campus with a lottery system assigning permits to zoned areas on the main campus and on adjacent properties.
Students also have the option to park at Cajun Field and catch a bus to the main campus.
