Unrestrained Crowley Man Dies Following Crash Nearly 2 Weeks Ago

40-year-old Shawn Abshire of Crowley is dead from injuries he sustained in a crash on Sunday night, May 19, on LA 13 at the intersection with LA 92.

La. State Police troopers say Abshire's truck failed to yield to a car being driven by Brayden Vincent of Morse. Abshire was not wearing a seat belt; Vincent was. Vincent only suffered moderate injuries.

It's unknown if impairment was a factor in the crash.
