Authorities in Waco are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a woman who was found acting delusional and is believed to have ties to Louisiana. The woman, discovered on Sunday, May 19, was taken to a local hospital by paramedics after being found near Highway 22 and County Road 4120 close to Meridian Park.

The woman has been successfully identified by police as 34-year-old Lela Oneal out of Weatherford, TX.

The Waco Police Department reported that the woman provided conflicting information about her name, saying it might be Kelly or Caleigh. She cannot recall her last name, date of birth, social security number, or any family members' names, making it difficult for the authorities to verify her identity and locate her family or friends.

In a statement on social media, the Waco Police Department emphasized the situation's urgency and requested the community’s help. "Hello Waco! We need your help again locating the family or friends of the individual pictured below. She says her name is Kelly, but also says Caleigh and doesn’t know her last name. Claims to be from Louisiana and cannot give a date of birth, social security, or family members' names. She was brought in to Providence by North Bosque EMS and was found delusional at Hwy 22 and CR 4120 near Meridian Park on 5/19/24. If you know who she may be please call us at 254-750-7500."

The woman is currently receiving medical care at a hospital in Waco, but without any identification or knowledge of her background, authorities are struggling to connect her with her family.
