Walker Police Have A New Interim Chief
WALKER, La. (AP) — The Walker Board of Alderman has appointed Walker Police Capt. Marliam Lee as interim chief.
The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/JYTgba ) Lee replaces Hunter Grimes, who resigned May 31 after taking a job with the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
Capt. John Sharp said Grimes' resignation took effect Monday.
Lee, a 25-year veteran of the department, will serve out the remainder of Grimes' term, which ends Dec. 31.
