The year 2020 has been a challenge for all of us, but as we approach Thanksgiving Day, I think that we all have something to be thankful for this year.

Sadly, many of us may have lost our homes, businesses or loved ones in 2020, but if we dig deep enough I believe we can all find something to be thankful for.

We have seen so many in our community come together after hurricanes and take care of neighbors and strangers. In the same breath, we have seen our medical professionals drop everything to work long hours while caring for those during a global pandemic.

As I noted in a previous blog, we can all dwell on the negative things 2020 bought, but there's still so much to be appreciative of.

Personally, I am thankful for all of the support our listeners have offered up during the pandemic. Often your phone calls or comments on social media carried us.

And yes, it is hard to stay positive when working in the public eye, but many of you have lifted my colleagues and me up during some difficult days.

So, I encourage you to look back on 2020 and find someone or something that you are thankful for. Additionally, I'd encourage you to share your stories with others and ask family/friends what they are thankful for this year.

Positivity is such a great thing and by expressing it as we approach Thanksgiving Day could be very beneficial for you and others.

Happy Thanksgiving.
