According to a story (on Reddit) from the Daily Advertiser, a $1.4 million sale price has been set for the old federal courthouse building on Jefferson Street in Downtown Lafayette.

Word is: the buyer will be turning it into a mixed-use space with retail and residential space.

What would you put there? I like the idea of apartments, bringing more residents downtown. What type of retail shops do you think we need in that space?

Another restaurant? Bar/nightclub? Yarn shop?   Chime in!
