UPDATE – Lockdown On White House Lifted

Update: The hour and a half lockdown on the White House has been lifted. According to The Washington Post, the unattended bag did not contain harmful materials.

Developing: ABC News is reporting that an "unattended package" on the fence of the North Lawn at the White House has forced a lockdown. Reporters are being told to stay in the press area.

NBC News is reporting that the area across the street from the White House - Lafayette Park - has been cleared. They report that the Secret Service will reopen the White House as soon as possible.
