The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team was coming off of a big offensive performance against McNeese State and winning their 4th game in a row. They were looking to continue their winning ways against a West Coast team in Loyola Marymount. The Cajuns were able to shut out the Lions 5-0 to win their 5th game in a row to move to 6-7 on the season.

The Cajuns got things going in the bottom of the 2nd when Jonathon Windham hit a 2-RBI double. Brennan Breaux would keep things going in the bottom of the 3rd when hit a solo shot to extend their lead to 3-0. The Cajuns were able to outhit the Lions 9-4 on the night.

The Cajuns would add to their lead in the bottom of the 4th when Todd Lott hit a sacrifice fly ball to increase their lead to 4-0. The Cajuns would get theri final run of the game when Windham hit an RBI single. Windham would finish the night off with 3 RBIs. Gunner Leger would pitch 5 good innings and strike out 8 batters while only allowing 4 hits before Brandon Young came in to finish things off who also struck out 5 batters. The win gives Leger his first win of the season.

The Cajuns were able to get all three facets going in the game as they pitched well, got the offense going and played well on defense. The Cajuns have been looking to do that all season long. They will look to take the series win against the Lions tomorrow at 2 pm.
