Winnsboro Man Killed In Catahoula Parish Crash

RHINEHART, La. (AP) — State police say a 32-year-old Winnsboro man died in an 18-wheeler crash in Catahoula Parish.

The crash happened around 7:50 a.m. Monday on La. Highway 8 near Rhinehart.

Trooper Scott Moreau says the crash involved a 2005 Kenworth driven by Charles D. Rose.

Moreau says the Kenworth was westbound when Rose lost control and ran off the highway. Moreau says vehicle's load shifted causing the 18-wheeler to overturn.

He says Rose was not wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced dead.
