Lafayette 9-Year-Old Made Up Abduction Story

The 9-year-old boy who fought off his attempted abductors last week was not telling the truth, according to police in Lafayette.

Corporal Paul Mouton, Public Information Officer for the Lafayette Police Department, says investigators discovered that the boy "fabricated" the entire story after re-interviewing him Monday.

No other information was provided as to why the boy made up the story.
