NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Foreclosure actions against Louisiana homeowners in November dropped 25 percent from October — a seasonal trend likely pushed farther by delays stemming from the legality of some proposed seizures.

That's according to a national foreclosure tracking group.

Irvine, Calif.-based RealtyTrac said 1,418 properties in Louisiana were the target of some sort of foreclosure-related action last month. Those ranged from an initial notice of default to outright confiscation by a lender.

RealtyTrac said the actions involved 635 sale notices and 422 properties taken back from owners. One in every 1,328 properties in the state was affected, making the state 37th in the nation.
