Home For The Holidays 2012
Today is that special day once again where KPEL turns over its studio to a more than worthy cause. In conjunction with the Acadian Home Builders Association and KATC-TV 3, KPEL is doing its part to raise money for the eighth annual Home for the Holidays Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
Home for the Holidays is a group charity effort that seeks to support non-profit shelter organizations in Acadiana including Lafayette Habitat for Humanity, Faith House, The Children's Shelter of Acadiana Youth Inc., and the St. Michael Center for Veterans.
The idea is simple, offer a well-crafted community built home to help the endangered and in-need women, children, and Veterans of Acadiana.
Acadian Home Builders Association in collaboration with numerous sponsors and builders from our community work together to build a beautiful home in Acadiana to donate to Home for the Holidays. Home for the Holidays then holds a raffle for the home and donates the proceeds to local charity. The raffle tickets are $100 each and all monies raised stay in Acadiana.
This year's house is being built by David Anderson of Anderson Home Builders and is designed by Girouard & Hebert Architects. The house features 2,808 square feet of living space, four bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, and is valued at over $450,000.
To purchase a raffle ticket, call in to the KATC-TV 3 call center at 236-6333. Tickets are also available at all Doug Ashy Building Materials stores, Lafayette locations of MidSouth Bank, the AHBA office and online at www.HomeForTheHolidaysLA.com.
