Lafayette Man Arrested In Robbery Of Cab Driver; Second Suspect On The Loose

Lafayette Police have arrested 20-year-old Herbert Montgomery III of Lafayette for allegedly robbing a cab driver, but are still looking for a second suspect, 20-year-old Kendall Traller of Lafayette.

Police say the victim was driving his cab Saturday night in the 800 block of 12th Street when he was approached by the two men, one of whom pointed a gun at him and demanded cash. The suspects fled the area. The victim was not hurt.

Police eventually arrested Montgomery and charged him with armed robbery. A warrant for Principle to Armed Robbery has been issued for Traller.
