Lafayette City Parish President Joey Durel says major growth for the hub city will happen in the next twenty-five years.

Durel joined "Mornings With Ken and Bernie" for another segment of "Lafayette Live" to talk about yesterday's State of the Parish address where he spoke about the community's growth, what it will take to get there and the comprehensive plan, that to some is controversial.

The Lafayette City Parish council voted twice for funding for the comprehensive plan, and yesterday members of the planning group were on had to talk to the hundreds in attendance about how they can become involved in the process.

Durel says there are many good things ahead for Lafayette, but funding for a growing community is always going to be a challenge.
