Secretary of State Tom Schedler says he wants to look into merging Louisiana's state museums under one office.  Secretary of State Tom Schedler says he and Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne are considering merging museum systems in the state. Currently some museums are overseen by Schedler's office and some are under the Lt. Governor. Schedler says he and Dardenne are forming a committee to look into it. Schedler says the committee would include officials with museums under both offices. He says consolidating under one office could save the state some money and eliminate redundant positions. As for savings, Schedler admits merging state museums under one office wouldn't save the state a LOT of money. He says the main reason to do it efficiency of operations.
