PAC Formed To Oppose Lafayette Deconsolidation

A commission member opposed to returning to separate city and parish governments in Lafayette is now raising money to defeat deconsolidation.
Dissenting Commission member Don Bacque has formed True PAC, a political action committee that's raised more than $10,000 not to undo Lafayette Consolidated Government. He plans to continue seeking contributions to fund a media campaign. Voters will decide on October 22nd whether to keep LCG intact, or break it up for the first time since the two governments merged in 1996.
