The following is a list of the people arrested in the last 24 hours in St. Mary Parish:

Tamoz D. Allen, 20, 271 Grandwood Drive #29, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 11, 2015 at 9:21 am for simple escape and on a warrant for simple burglary. Detectives located Allen at his residence on the warrant. Following his arrest, a detective was escorting Allen from the residence when he freed a hand from the handcuffs and fled on foot. A detective gave chase and located Allen attempting to conceal himself behind a tree in a wooded area off of Shady Grove Road. Allen was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set. The warrant for simple burglary stems from a complaint received on June 5, 2015 regarding a subject seen rummaging through a vehicle on Shivers Street in the Patterson area. Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified the subject as Allen.

Bridgette Darbigny, 34, 174 Mary Garret Road, Charenton, LA was arrested on June 11, 2015 at 10:20 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). A deputy located Darbigny at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse and transported her to the parish jail for booking. Darbigny was released on a $1,000 bond.

Laurie Waguespack, 37, 503 Highway 90 Southland Inn, New Iberia, LA was arrested on June 11, 2015 at 3:55 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Schedule I drugs. A deputy transported Waguespack from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $5,000.

Nathan Starling, 32, 1027 Fifth Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 1, 2015 at 5:26 pm on a warrant for molestation of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile. On June 3, 2015, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of the molestation of a juvenile. During the course of the investigation, the detective learned that Starling inappropriately touched a 9 year old male victim while at a residence in Morgan City. Starling came to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City in reference to the investigation and was subsequently taken into custody on the warrant. Bail is set at $35,000.

Brittany N. Thomas, 25, 3033 Lesley Drive, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 11, 2015 at 8:46pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy located Thomas at her residence on the warrant and transported her to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $1,120.
