The following is a list of the people who were booked into the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office for Wednesday, September 21, 2016:

Marques C. Long, 20, 5147 Bragg Street, Pineville, LA was arrested on September 20, 2016 at 8:09 am for aggravated flight from an officer, resisting an officer, and 3 counts criminal trespass.

Davin J. Canada, 21, 3033 Quebec Drive, Baton Rouge, LA was arrested on September 20, 2016 at 8:09 am for 3 counts criminal trespass and resisting an officer.

A deputy was dispatched to a complaint of a reckless driver on Highway 90 west and located the suspect vehicle. The deputy initiated a traffic stop near Highway 83. The deputy then observed both the driver and passenger look back toward the police unit. The driver of the SUV then accelerated traveling into the construction zone near the Highway 318 intersection. Other deputies were dispatched to the area. The deputy then observed the driver forcing other motorists off of the roadway. The driver also used the shoulder of the highway to pass other motorists in traffic. The suspect driver then lost control of the SUV swerving onto the median and into the eastbound lanes of traffic. With the vehicle still in motion, the driver and passenger got out of the SUV and fled on foot. The moving vehicle then struck a pick-up truck in an eastbound lane. Deputies tended to the crash. No major injuries were reported. Deputies also followed the suspects on foot and observed them running onto private property. A short time later, with the assistance of Louisiana State Police and Jeanerette Marshalls, the 2 suspects were detained on Ponderosa Lane and identified as Long and Canada. Following the investigation, both suspects were transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set for Canada at $4,000. No bail is set for Long.

Adrian Billiot, 34, 300 Franklin Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 20, 2016 at 3:54 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery and disturbing the peace. A deputy located Billiot at her residence on the warrant and transported her to the parish jail for booking. Billiot was released on a $5,000 bond.

Eduardo Sarabia, 39, 604 79 Pines Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 20, 2016 at 10:58 pm for unlawful use of state-issued identification to gain access to a gaming establishment or in conjunction with gaming activities. A deputy responded to a complaint at the Amelia Belle Casino in Amelia. The deputy learned from casino security personnel that Sarabia attempted to gain entry into the gaming establishment by using a fake Texas ID. When questioned by the deputy about the ID card, Sarabia admitted that it was fake. Sarabia was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Amy C. Turner, 42, 2915 Fourth Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on September 20, 2016 at 10:32 pm for obstruction of justice, possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section K-9 Unit conducting a traffic stop observed a passenger throw an item from the vehicle. The detective made contact with the passenger, identified as Turner. The item, a container, was recovered. Inside the container, detectives located several baggies holding large shards of crystal methamphetamine. Detectives received consent to search Turner’s purse and also located plastic baggies, a digital scale, and a glass pipe. Following the investigation, Turner was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
