Today On Brand Buzz – A Fun Environment For Work

On NewsTalk 96.5 KPEL's 'Brand Buzz' this week Jaci Russo discussed how to keep your work environment fun.

According to Russo,

If you talk to some people in Human Resources recruitment they will talk about the fact that it's not just compensation that keeps an employee happy. Actually very rarely is it just compensation...It's about the environment, the atmosphere, the co-workers that you can have good clean fun with in public.

We asked Jaci for an example of the activities she was discussing and she said,

We do what we call 'fun day'. We used to do them quarterly and they became more and more fun so now we do them monthly. Last week was what we called the 'Dirty Dozen' which I think was secretly called the 'Redneck Retreat'. We went out and shot guns, ate crawfish and rode four-wheelers in the mud and fished and just had a fun day of togetherness.

Russo went on to say,

Every organization should find opportunities to do that. It can't just be the once a year Christmas party.
