Join Komen Acadiana in the fight against breast cancer at the 12th annual Susan G. Komen Acadiana Race for the Cure® Saturday, March 19 in Girouard Park in Lafayette. This is an event for the entire family to enjoy while supporting a worthwhile cause. Race day events include a 1-mile fun run/walk, a 5K fitness run/walk, a survivor’s ceremony, jambalaya cook off, kid’s area, team awards and a T-shirt contest.

Entry fees range between $20-30 per participant, depending upon age and date registered. Children ages 12 and under can sign up as Kids for the Cure® participants, receive youth-size T-shirts and enjoy the kids area on race day.

Up to 75 percent of net proceeds from the race will remain in Acadiana to fund outreach programs that provide education, screening and treatment to meet the breast health and breast cancer needs of our community.
