2013 Cajun Heartland State Fair Celebrating 25 Years Of Family-Friendly Fun

It's that time of the year again! The 25th Annual Cajun Heartland State Fair is back, and lasts through Sunday, June 2.

I have many fond memories of going to the fair with family and friends from the time I was a little boy to now. And that's what the fair is about, according to Heidi Romero Champagne, Marketing Director with the Cajundome.

"One of my favorite memories is as a high school senior, you get together with your friends and you're about to graduate, and you kinda have that last little shindig together. So, it brings back a lot of memories for quite a few people."

As always, there are lots of great rides and games. Combine all of this with a list of fair ride specials and incredible performances and you have a great, lasting event.

"It's just been so successful and such a staple in the area that the ride operators continue to want to come back every year. They love to be here. They look forward to it every year."
