A Man Brings Multiple Knives To School

Police say a 21-year old Basile man walked into Iota Middle School wearing a Halloween mask and carrying knives. Garrett West had a belt around his waist which had knives and a hatchet. The principal convinced him to remove the mask and surrender his weapons. He was arrested soon after and is being charged with two counts of terrorism, two counts of carrying of a dangerous weapon on school property and two counts of unlawful disruption of a school.
