Acadia Parish Murder Suspect Arrested

Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson says they have arrested a man wanting for the shooting death that happened December 18 of last year.

Sheriff officials say they have arrested 19-year-old Belvin Savoy for shooting to death James Francis at the Kathy Apartments in Crowley.

Savoy was featured on Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers, and they have now apprehended the man.

Gibson says Savoy and Francis had an argument the night of the shooting, and Savoy shot Francis once in the head.

Savoy was arrested on a charge of second degree murder.
