Local Groups Team Up For Workshop

The Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, Acadian Home Builders Association and The Acadiana Realtors Association have teamed up to host a workshop this coming Monday for people who are interested in running for political office.

Eloise Gauthier and Bruce Conque tell KPEL the workshop will be held this coming Monday, June 14th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Southside branch of the Lafayette Reigonal Library.  You do not have to register you just show up for the event. 

Lafayette Parish Clerk of Court Louis Perret will give the general outline of what a candidate, or candidate's supporter, would need to know about running a race, and other experts include a representative of the Louisiana Ethics Board.
