Good news for drivers, the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge resurfacing project has ended earlier than expected.

That according to our news partners over at KATC.

DOTD reports that all lanes of the basin bridge westbound are now open to traffic.

The project began last month, to repair a portion of the bridge that was damaged in a fiery crash over the summer.

It spanned from the Whiskey Bay exit to mile marker 125.

The right lane of I-10 westbound has been closed since Friday night, and was scheduled to be closed until tomorrow morning.
