One Louisiana city is coming in first for something that's not good.

2010 data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the Baton Rouge metropolitan area ranks the highest in the country per capita for AIDS.

In 2010, the Baton Rouge metropolitan area as found to have the highest AIDS case rates in the country with 33.7 per 100,000, surpassing Miami, FL which had previously been ranked first for over a decade. Baton Rouge was previously ranked second in the nation.

 

Stats show nearly 34 out of every 100,000 people in the Baton Rouge area have the deadly disease.  In addition, the AIDS rank for New Orleans increased from ninth to fifth, and Louisiana ranked as the number 4 state in the U.S. in terms of cases.
