The organizers of Bayou Country Superfest have announced via social media that the country music festival will be "on hiatus until further notice."

The festival returned to Baton Rouge's Tiger Stadium last year after two years in New Orleans due to renovations at the stadium.

However, last year was one of the most poorly attended of the 10 years the festival has been going on.

Bayou Country Superfest has customarily been held over Memorial Day weekend.

Most years it has been two days long (Saturday & Sunday) with a couple of years getting extended to three days, with the extra day added on Friday.

Last year's headliners were Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean.
