If you've never attended Bayou Country Superfest in Baton Rouge I have some news for you. There's going to be one major difference in this year's show compared to the past couple of shows held in New Orleans. That difference is heat.

Yeah, I know with a line up that includes Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and host of other headliners you're expecting the heat on stage but I am talking about heat in your seat.

The forecast for Saturday and Sunday in the Baton Rouge Metro area is for afternoon temperatures to reach the middle 90's. That means the feels-like temperature or heat index could be well into the triple digits as you are making your way into Tiger Stadium for the opening acts.

Now if you happen to have seats on what we lovingly refer to as "the sunny side" of Tiger Stadium you can count on it feeling even hotter than what the feels-like temperature actually feels like.

The good news is that as the evening wears on temperatures will cool off considerably and by the time you wrap up your evening you should be very comfortable no matter where your seats happen to be.

Fortunately, concert organizers have arranged for plenty of concessionaires to be on hand with water, soft drinks, beer, and cocktails. We just encourage you to take it easy on the hard stuff, especially in the heat.
