Bayou Country Superfest has a new home for 2017 and that is the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. It will be scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, May 26-28.

The 2017 event will be the eighth Superfest, which of course previously took place at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. However, due to renovations scheduled at the stadium over the next two springs, the stadium was not available to host the concert.

Next year's three-day Superfest will begin with a kick-off outdoor evening celebration on Friday, May 26 in Champions Square, which will be free and open to the public Then on Saturday and Sunday (May 27 & 28) inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, there will be two huge nights of performances.

Champions Square will also be the site of the Festival's daytime Fan Fest on Saturday and Sunday.

Quint Davis, Producer/Director of the Superfest, said, “We are excited to announce that the Louisiana Memorial Day Weekend tradition that is Bayou Country Superfest is going under the Dome in New Orleans! When we started the Bayou Country Superfest, our goal was to create one of the great country music celebrations in America and grow it into an annual holiday tradition for Louisiana. The large scale stadium-type festival we all loved in Tiger Stadium, which is not available to host the event, will make a triumphant move to the only other facility in the state that equals Tiger Stadium as a world renowned sports and entertainment venue—the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.”

The complete talent lineup and ticket information for Bayou Country Superfest will be announced on December 1.
