Bernie Madoff’s Ex-Secretary May Testify At NYC Trial

NEW YORK (AP) — Bernard Madoff's longtime secretary may testify in her own behalf when the defense presents its case at her trial today in New York City.

Annette Bongiorno (bahn-JAWR'-noh) and four other ex-Madoff employees are accused of helping him cheat thousands of investors out of nearly $20 million.

But the five say they were duped along with investors.

Madoff is serving a 150-year prison sentence.
