Blind Vietnam Vet From Louisiana Stuns America’s Got Talent
No one knew what to expect when this 65-year-old man took the stage.
You never know what's next on America's Got Talent. This show is loaded with so many talented people and each one has something unique to offer. It's not always someone taking the stage to sing, but in the case of Robert Finley it was.
Robert is a Vietnam War Veteran and he's also legally blind.
The Winnsboro, Louisiana native grew up on a farm and says music was the only thing he could get into without getting in trouble. At age 19 he headed off to serve our country in the Vietnam War. After returning, he got a job and started a family, but never lost his love for music. Even after he started to lose his vision about four years ago.
He says he's "65 and just coming alive."
