Body Found In Car After Shooting In East Baton Rouge Parish
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — East Baton Rouge Sheriff's detectives say one man was killed and another injured in a weekend shooting.
The two were shot as they as they sat in a car early Sunday morning.
Deputies found 22-year-old Jarvis Nelson dead inside the car. The other victim ran to a nearby house. He was later hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said detectives are still investigating the motive for the shooting. The shooting happened near the intersection of North Sherwood Forest Boulevard and Greenwell Springs Road, in the northeastern part of East Baton Rouge parish.
