The body of an Iraqi War veteran, who authorities say jumped off the Audubon Bridge on Nov. 4, has been recovered.

Capt. Steve Juge of the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office, says the body of 32-year-old Dusty Brouillette, of Baton Rouge, was found about 4:35 p.m. Sunday by a child riding a four-wheeler across the levee in Ventress.

The Advocate reports Brouillette had been missing for a week after his 2002 Chevrolet pickup was discovered Nov. 4 in the westbound lane of the Audubon Bridge. Juge says authorities with Pointe Coupee, West Feliciana and East Baton Rouge parish sheriff's offices searched the river last week for Brouillette's body to no avail.

Juge says an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of Brouillette's death.
