On Thursday the New Orleans Pelicans received news that they will in fact have a representative in this year's NBA All-Star Game in forward Brandon Ingram.

It's a very well deserved honor for the first-year Pelican as he's averaging 25 points per game, 6.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, a steal, and a block per game. They couldn't have asked for much better of a season out of the guy they hope to pair with Zion Williamson for many years to come.

Here are the players who will be representing the East and West squads as reserves:

The game will be played on February 16th at 7 p.m.

The game will also be played a little bit differently this season to honor the late Kobe Bryant, here are the new All-Star Game rules and how the game will be played:

I know, it's a little confusing but it's a great idea by the league to honor Kobe Bryant and all the victims of that horrific helicopter crash last Sunday.
