Breaux Bridge Police say a trio of fugitives wanted for a weekend shooting on West Patin Street have all turned themselves into authorities.

Assistant Police Chief Terry Latiolais said police responded to the scene Saturday following the shooting that yielded no victims.

Latiolais said the following suspects all turned themselves in Tuesday morning.

Dominic Riggs was arrested for:

  • Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Aggravated assault with a firearm
  • Aggravated criminal damage to property (3 counts)
  • Violation of Uniform CDS, drug-free zone
  • Illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a CDS
  • Illegal discharge of a firearm

Martrell Nicholas was arrested for:

  • Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Aggravated assault with a firearm
  • Aggravated criminal damage to property (3 counts)
  • Violation of Uniform CDS, drug-free zone
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a CDS
  • Illegal discharge of a firearm

Joseph Sylvester was arrested for:

  • Aggravated assault with a firearm
  • Illegal discharge of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Latiolais told KPEL News there are few details available about what happened in the altercation before the shooting took place. but it may be possible that the shots were fired after a faltered drug deal.
