SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — The Caddo Parish Commission will decide Thursday whether to formally encourage businesses to prohibit patrons from wearing pajamas in their establishments.

The Times reports commissioners voted during their work session Monday to give District 3's Michael Williams his due process and advance his resolution to their regular agenda.

Earlier this year, Williams tried to get his peers to adopt a ban on pajamas in public that also included a clause against wearing saggy pants. That legislation was quashed.

In his latest proposal, Williams only is pushing for a resolution — not a law — encouraging businesses to incorporate a pajama ban in their dress codes.

During Monday's work session, Commissioner David Cox said that he has received calls from business owners who oppose the pajama ban.
