Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team fell on the road in Sun Belt Conference action on Thursday evening, dropping a 75-70 decision to the FAU Owls, in Boca Raton, Florida.

FAU led at the half, 39-27, and then held off a second half rally by Louisiana to capture the five-point win.

The Cajuns out-shot the Owls from the field, 51%-48%, but were out-rebounded, 29-23.

Greg Gantt led FAU in scoring, with 23 points, while Elfrid Payton paced Louisiana in a losing cause, with 23 points, while Shawn Long added 22 points and nin rebounds.

With the victory, the Owls improved to 8-8 overall, and 3-2 in Sun Belt Conference play, while the Cajuns fell to 6-10 overall, and 2-3 in league play.

Louisiana returns to action on Saturday evening, when they travel to Miami, Florida to take on the FIU Panthers.
