Camper Catches Fire in Scott; Neighbor Prevents Further Damage
A short in the refrigerator is believed to be the cause of a camper catching fire Halloween afternoon in an open field in the 100 block of St. Paul Avenue in Scott.
Scott Fire Chief Chad Sonnier says a quick-thinking neighbor noticed the travel camper was sitting next to a home. So, he hooked the camper up to his truck and pulled it away from the home.
No one was injured as the fire was quickly brought under control.
