Louisiana Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Mike Strain says a 54-year-old a Campti man has been arrested for allegedly not paying for the timber he cut down on land owned by an estate in Natchitoches Parish.

Strain said Bobby R. Armstrong was charged with one count of failure to pay for timber.

He said Armstrong cut timber valued at $6,800 in June and July.

It was not immediately known whether Armstrong has an attorney.
