Officials with the Opelousas Police Department are working to figure out who stole over $1,200 worth of garden tools from Lowe's Friday, and $8000 worth of liquor and cigarettes Saturday according to a press release.

Opelousas Police Major Mark Guidry says that $1,200 worth of garden tools were ripped off from the Lowe's at 1130 East Landry Street Friday.

In this incident, the men were seeing leaving the Lowe's in a Toyota Tacoma truck that had no license plate. The surveillance video shows the truck is black in color. All of this happened at around 9 o'clock in the morning.

On Saturday, two people walked into the Racetrack, and they were able to make off with eight thousand dollars worth of liquor and cigarettes.

The Racetrack store is at 1018 East Landry Street in Opelousas. The surveillance video shows the suspects stealing lots of liquor and cigarettes.

After this crime, the men took off in Dodge Challenger that is gray in color.
