Crowley Hospital To Become Acadia General Hospital

There is a change coming to American Legion Hospital in Crowley.

Lafayette General Medical Center President and CEO David Callecod says the American Legion Hospital will become Acadia General Hospital as Lafayette General Health will be taking over management of the hospital next month.

At a press event Tuesday afternoon, LGH and American Legion Hospital officials signed transfer documents, and Callecod tells KPEL the deal will need approval by the Louisiana Attorney General's Office.

Callecod tells KPEL that LGH will be bringing it's management style to an already great hospital that will put patients needs first.

American Legion Hospital was started in 1929 by members of the American Legion Acadia Post No. 15.
