Death Penalty For Angola Inmate

A  jury  in St. Francisville has given the death penalty  to  Angola inmate David  Brown  for the murder in 1999 of Angola security guard Captain David Knapps. 

Brown is already serving a life sentence for a 1992 murder.  Brown is  the third Angola inmate to stand trial for the killing of Knapps who was murdered during an escape attempt from Angola's Camp D Education Building.  Formal  sentencing  is  set for November 16th.
