Driver In Fatal Hit & Run Still Being Sought

The person responsible for hitting and killing a Crowley woman has yet to be identified.

Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers is again featuring the case of 78-year-old Jeanette Clifton who was struck by a vehicle and killed while she was walking home from a neighbor's house.

The woman was hit by a vehicle that was on the westbound side of Lovell Street. The woman was struck in the 1100 block of the street.

Sheriff's officials say the vehicle has been described as a light colored truck. It has an extended cab, and they believe it could be either or Chevy or GMC truck.

This happened at around 8:30 on the night of February 11.

Anyone who knows anything about this case is being asked to share that information anonymously with the Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers officials by calling 337-789-TIPS(8477).
