Election Set To Replace Keaty

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — Qualifying dates and an election have been set to replace State District Judge Phyllis Keaty.

Keaty resigned her seat on the 15th Judicial District Court last week after being elected to the Third Circuit Court of Appeal in November.

Qualifying for the judgeship will be held Sept. 6-8. A primary election is set for Oct. 22 with a general election set for Nov. 19.
