Evacuated Offshore Workers Returning To Work
Workers evacuated from offshore oil and gas rigs because of Tropical Storm Lee are heading back.
The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation, and Enforcement says 232 production platforms and 24 rigs had to be evacuated, shutting down 61 percent of oil production and 46 percent of natural gas production in the Gulf. BOEMRE says the rigs and platforms will be inspected for damage before coming back online.
