A beloved cultural event that happens each year in St Landry Parish is actually going forward in 2021, after being canceled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. And for those of us who are looking for some normalcy, this is indeed good news.

The semi-annual Exit 11 Yard Sale will be scaled down this year, and will actually now just be the "Mini" Exit 11 Yard Sale, but hopefully only for 2021. This event is so much fun and is a go-to for shoppers and adventure seekers from all over the state. It will be held on Saturday, March 20 from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm along highways 182 and 93. Normally the yard sale takes place in the historic towns of Sunset and Grand Coteau, but this year it will only be held in Grand Coteau.

Hundreds of families, businesses, and local vendors will be set up to sell art, antiques, jewelry, flea market items, furniture, produce, food, and handmade items of all kinds. Most major restaurants and stores in town, and beyond, will be set up with bargains galore, so it's a great way to walk from place to place and peruse fantastic local items at really great prices. And this year more than ever, it's so important for us to support our local communities, eateries, and stores.

Grab your girlfriends and make plans to head out to one of south Louisiana's most beautiful little towns for some bargains and uniquely Louisiana finds. The event is sponsored by the Grand Coteau Cultural Foundation, and proceeds will benefit the organization.
