Eight homeless programs throughout the state, including one here in Lafayette, will be getting some much-needed grant money. Faith House in Lafayette is one of eight homeless shelters around the state that'll be getting nearly $2 million in total funds. The grant money, provided by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department, are in addition to the $26 million HUD gave in January to renew funding to 153 existing Louisiana homeless housing and service programs.
