Family, Friends Of Missing Crystal Grebinger Frustrated Over Search
LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- The best friend and sister of Crystal Grebinger, the 32-year-old woman who has been missing since Feb. 8, are understandably frustrated that the investigation into their loved one's disappearance seems to have hit a dead end.
"It is very frustrating because we still have no leads, no tips--nothing," said Heather Young, Grebinger's best friend. "It really is. It is frustrating. We have nowhere to start searching. Nothing."
Grebinger was last seen leaving the Lafayette Faith House. Her marriage to her husband Sean Grebinger has been rocky at best, according to Young. She said Sean abused and threatened Crystal, and her intuition tells her he is somehow responsible for Crystal's disappearance.
"But I can't prove it, and until we find something otherwise, we really not supposed to say something like that," Young said. "I've witnesses things that would lead me to believe that, and that's why I say that."
Young described Crystal as a "supermom," someone who was always happy, despite the alleged abused she went through, and the closest thing to a sister she has.
"She was just a beautiful person," Young said. "She had a heart of gold. Everything was her kids."
Crystal is five feet tall and weighs about 130 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes and has been known to occasionally wear different styles and lengths and wigs.
If you have any information as to where she may be or how she disappeared, you're urged to call the Lafayette Police Department at (337) 291-8600.
