Fatal Crash In New Iberia

Louisiana State Police Troop I Spokesman Thomas Gossen tells KPEL they are helping to investigate a fatal crash that happened in New Iberia.

The crash happened earlier this morning at the intersection of South Corinne and West Pershing Street.

Officials are working to figure out all of the circumstances surrounding this crash.

Gossen told KPEL this morning that so far this year, there have been 15 fatalities that have happened in the Troop I (Acadiana) Region.

Gossen say seven of the fatalities involved people who were not wearing seat belts.
